Akkodis is seeking an Advanced Emissions Calibration Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate will lead development of system-level calibration strategies and bridges simulation with physical validation while commissioning and debugging prototype propulsion systems.
Rate Range: $40hour to $42/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Advanced Emissions Calibration Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Develop and implement system-level emissions calibration strategies to meet SULEV20/SULEV15/SULEV10 standards across ICE, HEV, and PHEV platforms.
Lead the integration of virtual simulation results with physical vehicle and dyno validation activities.
Perform commissioning, calibration, and debugging of prototype propulsion systems, including hardware-in-the-loop testing.
Analyze large-scale test data to identify trends and optimize fuel economy, emissions, and drivability performance.
Utilize calibration tools (ATI Vision, ETAS INCA, CANape) and DAQ systems for testing and validation activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with global emissions regulations and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field (master's preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in powertrain calibration with focus on gasoline emissions or hybrid systems (HEV/PHEV).
Strong proficiency in calibration tools (ATI Vision, ETAS INCA, CANape) and deep understanding of SULEV emissions standards (SULEV20/15/10).
Hands-on experience with prototype system setup, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and data-driven calibration using large-scale dataset analysis.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $42.00 per hour
