**Project Engineer - Civils**

As a Project Engineer, you'll play a key role in planning, coordinating, and delivering project activities from start to finish. Working closely with our Project Managers, site team, subcontractors, and clients, the Project Engineer will help ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards, maintaining our commitment to quality and excellence.
**About Flanco**
Flanco are a growing civil contracting company servicing the mining \& resources sector with various ongoing projects running nationwide with a Perth and Goldfields division.
Flanco are currently seeking an Engineer to join our team, supporting Project Managers and Supervisors to deliver Flanco's projects across various sites and divisions, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, and in alignment with client expectations and company standards.
Our projects generally run from 3-6 months with crews moving from project to project providing variety and ongoing work. Common scope of works would be mills, crushers, concrete thickeners, conveyor footings and stockyards, tunnels, power stations and paste plants. Flanco runs lean on the ground with small to medium size crews from 5-30 depending on the project.
**About the Position**
* Support Construction Supervisor and Project Manager to manage and coordinate the construction works and subcontractors.
* Liaison with design and construction teams daily and coordinate regular meetings with all stakeholders as required.
* Coordinate and manage subcontractor progress and support resolution of any commercial matters.
* Program management, including maintaining, looking forward and provide monthly input into program updates.
* Orders materials in accordance with scope and programme requirements;
* Ensures all variations are documented and agreed upon before carrying them out.
* Provide engineering, technical and contract support to construction staff.
* Support Supervisor in development and review of the Project budget and cost management.
* Utilise existing business unit resources to ensure your project environmental, tenement and mining-related approvals for your project are completed in line with the project requirements.
* Ensure that all necessary documentation is being produced and recorded.
* Monitor/prepare the daily reports on all works in progress at the site.
* Support Supervisor to provide detailed reporting through to the executive management team.
* Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential problems and lead contingency plans.
* Contributes to the successful and on-time delivery of projects within budget and quality standards.
**Key Requirements:**
* Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree or other relevant qualification.
* Previous industry experience working within a project orientated team on civil construction/infrastructure project.
* Experience with managing work programs and performance of teams and subcontractors.
* Ability to interpret designs for construction implementation.
* Solid understanding of client specifications.
* Experience in detailed earthworks, concrete and structures is advantageous.
* Strength in reading, interpreting \& following plans.
* Computer literacy skills using MS packages.
* Sound knowledge of Quality, OH\&S, EEO and Environmental policies, procedures and standards.
* Proven verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills and ability to develop and maintain diverse stakeholder relationships.
* Willingness to undertake training as required relevant to the position
* Willingness to FIFO / travel to site and Kalgoorlie branch as required
* Quoting experience would be an advantage but not essential.
Preferred applicants will be required to participate in pre-employment medical screening including drug and alcohol testing to ensure suitability for the role and must be able to provide a suitable police clearance.
