Senior DevOps/Software Engineer

Job Description

Mission Intelligence (MI) Team Member

You will be part of the Mission Intelligence team, supporting data engineering and analysis efforts that drive enterprise decision-making through a business intelligence platform.

Responsibilities

Incorporate site reliability engineering principles into an existing operational platform.
Maintain and enhance a mission-essential business intelligence platform.
Elicit requirements, analyze data, and develop solutions to deliver key metrics.
Design analytics to combine, normalize, and enrich large datasets.
Create ETL workflows for converting and normalizing data.
Incorporate new tools or technologies into the platform.
Guide junior software engineers and data scientists.
Document processes clearly in written form.

Required Skills

Strong customer service mindset.
Production-grade Java and Python development experience.
Familiarity with site reliability engineering principles.
Experience with authentication and authorization platforms.
Knowledge of software productization using Docker/Kubernetes.
Comfortable with Git and GitLab for version control.
Basic to intermediate Linux system administration skills.

Nice To Have

Familiarity with Apache NiFi.
Experience with Elasticsearch and Kibana.
Understanding of Kubernetes.
Knowledge of map-reduce analytic environments (e.g., Hadoop).
Background in signals intelligence systems.
Experience with offensive security operations.
Frontend UI development skills.

Experience Required: 12 years with Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or 16 years without a degree

Location: Columbia, MD

Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph required

Salary Range: $204,000 - $247,000
