Senior Controls Engineer

Toledo, OH | Full-Time | 100k - 150k
We're hiring a Senior Controls Engineer in Toledo, OH. We are looking for someone to become a technical lead for our Controls Department
This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in Allen-Bradley PLCs/HMIs, servo motion, VFDs, and robotics who wants to take ownership of projects from design through commissioning.
This is a great opportunity to join a business working on a range of custom automation projects, with long-term progression into a future Director-level leadership role.

Responsibilities

Design, program, and commission industrial control systems
Develop and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLC/HMI applications
Work with servo motion, VFDs/PowerFlex drives, and robotic systems
Support machine startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting
Create and modify controls/electrical drawings in AutoCAD

Requirements

Proven controls engineering experience
Strong background with:
Allen-Bradley PLCs & HMIs
Servo systems and motion control
VFDs / PowerFlex drives
Fanuc or ABB robotics
AutoCAD
Experience with camming profiles and electronic gearing
Willingness to travel 20%
