About The Role

This role supports a hardware-in-the-loop test laboratory focused on certification and integration testing of mission-critical flight software. The engineer will contribute to the modernization of locally developed test, data recording, and analysis tools. The position involves hands-on software development in a collaborative, multi-disciplined engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and integrate software solutions on Linux platforms
Develop and maintain applications using C++ and Python
Participate in requirements definition, technical design, and peer reviews
Modernize and enhance existing test execution and data analysis tools
Work with client/server architectures and networked systems
Integrate software with databases, including PostgreSQL
Adhere to established coding standards and development best practices
Collaborate closely with engineers across multiple disciplines
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize system performance
Contribute to documentation and technical knowledge sharing

Basic Qualifications

7+ years of C++ development experience on Linux (RHEL)
7+ years of Python development experience on Linux (RHEL)
2+ years of experience using Git, Make, and VS Code
Hands-on experience with client/server architectures
Experience with network administration concepts
1+ year of experience working with PostgreSQL databases

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Experience with Joint Simulation Environment (JSE)
Working knowledge of JavaScript
Exposure to ADA and/or Perl
