As an Sr. Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting a development program within the Airborne RF Electronics Design Department. You will be working as a senior software and hardware member of a team that is responsible for developing and updating testset software to support a production program onsite under the guidance of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead in McKinney, Texas.

This position is an onsite role, located in Plano, TX.

What You Will Do:

Develop and maintain software applications using C/C++ and C#
Design and implement test solutions using National Instruments TestStand and LabWindows/CVI
Write and debug software that interfaces with embedded system microcontroller
Configure and manage networking setups, including Cisco switch configurations
Operate and troubleshoot within the Windows operating system environment
Review and approve software-related changes
Ability to obtain program access after starting

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a related STEM discipline such as Math, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline with minimum of 5 years related experience
Experience in C/C++ programming language
Experience with National Instruments TestStand, LabWindows/CVI, and/or LabVIEW
Experience in MATLAB
Experience in supporting Production and/or Test of electrical sub-systems in a manufacturing environment and analysis of technical data
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience writing and debugging software that interfaces hardware like embedded systems, microcontrollers
Experience with PXI, DAQ, Compact RIO hardware
Experience with software repositories, such as Git/GitLab
Extensive knowledge on optimizing existing code for improved efficiency and reduced resource consumption
Experience in automated testing frameworks to improve software reliability and performance

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
