### Must have:

### - We are seeking a mid-level Software Engineer or higher with relevant experience aligned to the selected level. - For the Senior Software Engineer level, we require 5 years of related experience with a bachelors degree, 3 years with a masters degree, or 9 years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent. - For the Software Engineer level, we require 2 years of related experience with a bachelors degree or 6 years with a high school diploma or equivalent. - For the Software Engineer Associate level, we require a bachelors degree with no prior experience or 4 years of related experience with a high school diploma or equivalent. - We require hands-on software development experience using C++, Java, JavaScript, or similar programming languages. - We require proven experience working in a Linux-based environment. - We require the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance. - We prefer candidates who already hold an active U.S. Secret clearance or higher. - We expect adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity to meet the physical demands of the Software Engineer role.

Responsibilities:

- We research and develop concepts that address critical military operational capability gaps. - We design and build proof-of-concept prototypes using a range of engineering disciplines, including control theory, signal and video processing, pattern recognition, machine learning, artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, applied mathematics, network and web services, and visualization. - We support prototype testing, experimental operations at military sites, and the transition of capabilities to government stakeholders. - We participate in system integration activities on aircraft during ground and flight test events. - We develop software interfaces for controlling sensors and gathering data from them. - We may fly on aircraft to assist with system integration and operator training. - We design and implement graphical user interfaces that align with customer requirements and mission needs. - We collaborate across teams to design, troubleshoot, and maintain software elements for the Minotaur Mission Processor and related mission systems. - We travel approximately 10--20% of the time to support program needs.
