### Must have:

### - We need a candidate who can obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. - We require a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related scientific field, or equivalent experience where applicable. - We are looking for at least 3 years of professional software engineering experience. - We need strong proficiency in Python and modern C++. - We prefer knowledge in one or more of the following areas: signal processing, target tracking, computational mathematics, or electromagnetics. - We value familiarity with Agile software development practices. - We require strong experience working in Linux environments. - We need experience using Git for software configuration management. - We expect willingness to travel as needed. - Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Docker and containerization technologies. - Preferred qualifications include knowledge of modern software architectures, including microservices-based designs. - Preferred qualifications include experience with DDS and/or Kafka. - Preferred qualifications include experience mentoring junior engineers. - Preferred qualifications include knowledge of MATLAB. - Preferred qualifications include experience supporting software integration, test, and deployment activities. - Preferred qualifications include experience developing software requirements and technical documentation.

Responsibilities:

- We research, design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and systems that support advanced R\&D efforts. - We collaborate with hardware and systems engineering teams to deliver integrated products. - We consult with customers to gather and analyze program needs, objectives, functional requirements, and system interfaces. - We support software maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement work throughout the development lifecycle. - We formulate software designs using scientific analysis, mathematical modeling, and engineering principles to assess and predict system performance. - We develop software solutions with minimal supervision while delivering high-quality products and technical solutions. - We participate in customer meetings and technical discussions to translate high-level objectives into detailed software requirements. - We support Agile development activities, including planning, implementation, testing, and documentation.
