### Must have:

### - We require a current TS/SCI U.S. Government security clearance and U.S. citizenship. - We need at least 15 years of systems or software engineering experience with a bachelors degree in a technical field such as computer science, engineering, or mathematics, or 13 years of relevant experience with a masters degree, or a high school diploma/equivalent plus 19 years of relevant experience. - We expect strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud solutions at an architect level, with an emphasis on data-centric systems. - We require a proven ability to document solutions, present recommendations to internal and external stakeholders, and support implementation efforts. - We need experience modeling and coding database solutions. - We require demonstrated proficiency with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process. - We expect solid system design expertise and disciplined technical documentation skills. - We require experience with streaming and/or batch analytics technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Flink, Storm, MapReduce, or Hadoop. - We need experience with distributed databases, NoSQL databases, or full-text search platforms such as Elasticsearch, MongoDB, or Solr. - We require experience designing enterprise APIs and RESTful web services. - We expect experience with microservices architecture and object-oriented programming principles. - We require experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure. - We need experience with modern Java frameworks and libraries such as Spring or Guava. - We require experience using Linux. - We expect experience with configuration management tools such as Git, Nexus, and Maven. - We require experience working in an agile software development lifecycle. - We require the ability to work a hybrid schedule, including some on-site customer support and possible CONUS travel, typically 1-2 days per week. - We value flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly to schedule changes. - DoD 8140/8570 compliance certifications may be required based on customer direction. - Big Data Platform experience is a strong plus. - Scripting experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

- We lead the conception, development, and implementation of advanced software capabilities for computer-based systems. - We collaborate with development, infrastructure, architecture, and governance teams to design the best solution for each project. - We design, model, and prototype current and future data states using AWS-compatible solutions. - We help infrastructure teams define processes and introduce improved methods for managing the cloud environment. - We analyze the needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems and translate them into technical, structural, and organizational specifications. - We create standards and models to monitor and improve capacity and performance. - We troubleshoot complex issues and stay effective under pressure while balancing multiple deadlines. - We serve as the primary technical point of contact for supported projects and engage directly with customers. - We work in a fast-paced small business environment as part of a skilled team. - We perform additional duties as assigned.
