### Must have:

### - We are looking for someone with 3+ years of DevOps experience and 2+ years in cloud automation. - You should bring strong troubleshooting skills and be able to resolve configuration issues independently. - We need excellent communication skills for working with people at different technical levels. - Experience with Agile delivery practices and tools such as Scrum, JIRA, and Confluence is required. - Familiarity with the systems development lifecycle (SDLC) is important. - You should have hands-on experience with AWS or a similar cloud platform. - Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Shell, Groovy, and Python is expected. - Experience with Java and an understanding of object-oriented programming are needed. - Knowledge of API gateways such as Kong is preferred. - We require experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, Maven or Gradle, and GitHub Actions. - Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Terraform, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible is expected. - Experience using AWS Lambda for serverless development is needed. - You should understand software design methods, architecture, and design patterns. - SQL skills for database administration and analysis are required. - You must be able to formalize proposals and guide others on solutions. - Strong problem-solving ability and adaptability to shifting priorities are essential. - A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field is preferred. - Experience with Amazon API Gateway and AWS SAM is a plus. - Basic knowledge of Snowflake Data Cloud and enterprise data warehouses is desirable. - Familiarity with Quarkus and modern application development is beneficial. - Experience developing solutions for large enterprises is advantageous. - Knowledge of Atlassian tools, GitHub, and ServiceNow is helpful. - Understanding of reusable, clean code practices is valuable. - Knowledge of cloud performance tuning, networking, load balancing, and high availability is useful. - Awareness of emerging DevOps tools and trends is an asset. - Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration is preferred. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Visio is useful.

Responsibilities:

- We will have you build and roll out new development tools and infrastructure aligned to requirements and architectural direction. - You will work to understand stakeholder needs and define the steps needed to achieve solutions and goals. - We expect you to automate and streamline development and release workflows. - You will write code, run unit and integration tests, and verify compliance with business and technical standards. - You will troubleshoot production application issues to keep systems running efficiently. - You will collaborate with managers and teammates to uphold development standards. - We need you to create and maintain code pipelines, including GitHub Actions, using Groovy and Python. - You will diagnose CI/CD problems by reviewing logs and metrics. - You will test and review code written by other engineers. - You will support multiple API versions, failover, blue-green deployments, and high-availability setups. - You will use AWS services such as Elastic Beanstalk, ALB, ELB, Auto Scaling, CloudWatch, Redis ElastiCache, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and Lambda. - You will work with platforms and tools such as Artifactory, Confluence, JIRA, GitHub Actions, ServiceNow, SonarQube, Black Duck, and WhiteHat. - You will write and maintain scripts in Bash, Python, Groovy, and similar languages to interact with APIs. - You will create and review Terraform scripts and related logs.

This is a contract Cloud DevOps Engineer role based in St. Louis, Missouri. We offer a competitive pay range of $55 to $60, with final compensation based on role scope, location, experience, skills, and other employment factors.
