### Must have:

### - We require a current Secret-level U.S. Government security clearance, and U.S. citizenship is mandatory. - We are seeking someone with at least 5 years of software engineering experience, or 3 years with a masters degree in a related field, or a high school diploma/equivalent plus 9 years of relevant experience. - We need strong hands-on experience building Java-based software, including modern Java frameworks and libraries such as Spring and Guava. - We value experience designing enterprise APIs, RESTful web services, and microservices-based solutions. - We look for a solid foundation in object-oriented programming principles and agile software development practices. - We expect familiarity with configuration management and build tools such as Git, Nexus, and Maven. - We require comfort working from a Linux command line environment. - We need candidates who learn quickly, solve problems effectively, and work well both independently and as part of a team. - We expect strong analytical thinking, the ability to organize and synthesize information, and excellent troubleshooting skills. - We require flexibility to work on customer site in Fort Meade, MD 2-3 days per week, with potential increases to 5 days during surges. - A bachelors degree in a related field is preferred for the standard qualification path.

- We design, develop, and implement complex software capabilities for computer-based systems. - We collaborate closely with other engineers to build software solutions aligned with client needs. - We apply strong Java development expertise to deliver high-quality technical capabilities. - We use testing discipline and investigative thinking to validate solutions and improve software reliability. - We troubleshoot issues under pressure while managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - We contribute to a small, agile team and support delivery across the full software lifecycle. - We work with modern tools and technologies and stay current with evolving industry practices. - We perform additional duties as assigned to support project and team goals.
