$200K–$325K base + equity

I'm hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer for a Series A AI company building the agentic platform for hedge funds and investment managers. The platform is already live at firms managing tens of billions in AUM.

The problem you'd help solve:
Front and middle office workflows at major asset managers still rely on manual processes, fragmented data, and slow decision loops. We're building the AI-native layer that turns those workflows into production-grade agentic systems — pulling from CRMs, market data, compliance feeds, emails, and more to surface the right insight, to the right person, at the right time.

You'd be the technical lead embedded at client sites — scoping requirements directly with portfolio managers and traders, then building the workflows yourself. Not slides. Not prototypes. Production software shipping daily.

Once a deployment is working, you own the handoff and turn what worked into reusable playbooks for the next engagement.

This role isn't advisory. 80% of it is building.

You'll likely be a fit if you have:
5–12 years in full-stack or applied AI/ML engineering — real systems shipped, failure modes found, fixes made
Hands-on production Python and agentic AI experience (LangChain or equivalent)
Built with LLMs, RAG pipelines, vector databases, and API integrations in live environments
Client-facing experience in high-pressure settings — you know mistakes here can cost millions and you don't flinch
Background in financial services technology: investment banking tech, hedge fund, asset manager, or AI-for-finance startup

Nice to have:
Experience with evaluation suites and CRM integrations
Prior FDE or embedded engineering experience (Palantir-style)
Exposure to quant workflows, compliance systems, or trade operations
SQL fluency and comfort working inside complex data environments

What you won't find here:
This role won't suit pre-sales engineers, solutions architects, or anyone who wants to stay advisory. It also won't suit candidates who need a roadmap committee to tell them what to build. You're the one in the room with the client — you scope it, you ship it, you own it.

The package:
$200K–$325K base salary
Competitive equity
4 days/week onsite at client site (Midtown West, NYC) + 1 day remote
Small, senior team at a company whose founding team has deep roots in both Wall Street and enterprise engineering

NYC-based or willing to relocate. Onsite requirement is non-negotiable.
