This is a Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley job.
A Brief Overview
Performs a variety of mechanical repairs as well as performs preventative maintenance, servicing and testing of Hospital Medical and Non-medical equipment, including building, systems, equipment and ground of SHC – Tri-Valley.

What You Will Do
Operates and maintains steam generating boilers and distribution systems in accordance with factory specifications and safety standards.
Responds promptly to emergency situations and performs work in a professional manner.
Cleans out clogged drains, installs or replaces plumbing fixtures.
Inspects and safety checks electrical equipment, replaces, repairs and cleans light fixtures and electrical fixtures as needed.
Inspects Nurse call systems and make minor repairs.
Responsible for recording equipment conditions and malfunction reporting to management.
Services and repairs exhaust fans, replaces fan belts or adjusts as necessary, replaces filters and checks draft gauges on air handling systems.
Works on pumps, motors, compressors and other equipment as assigned.
Checks and maintains fire extinguishers and sprinkler systems. Performs all required safety and fire checks, maintains required fire and safety code records.
Assures proper care in use of tools, equipment and supplies. Maintains work areas orderly, clean and safe, assures that work assignment areas are clean and free of hazardous conditions.
Employee must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the C-I-CARE Standards of the Hospital. C-I-CARE is the foundation of Stanford Healthcare – Tri-Valley’s patient-experience and represents a framework for patient-centered interactions
Education Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Required
License in one or more construction/building trades or disciplines. Preferred
Experience Qualifications
3+ years to 5 years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience Required
Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Extensive knowledge of industrial electricity and three phase motors.
Ability to adapt to and deal with change and ambiguity
Ability to operate standard tools, instruments and equipment used on the job
Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, work independently and meet deadlines
Ability to solve problems and identify solutions
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
Strong command of the English language.
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility
Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in maintenance and repair
Knowledge of infection control guidelines
Licenses and Certifications
CADL - California Drivers License - Valid And In State required .

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $28.84 - $37.08 per hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
