Maintenance Engineer – Civil

**Job Overview:**

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Engineer -- Civil to oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of facilities and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all civil maintenance activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and within budget. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, leadership capabilities, and hands-on experience in civil maintenance and finishing works.

**Job Responsibilities :**

* Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance requirements and recommend corrective actions.
* Plan, coordinate, and supervise civil maintenance activities, repairs, and renovation projects.
* Generate work orders, document job details, and assign tasks to appropriate team members.
* Monitor and inspect completed maintenance work to ensure quality standards are met.
* Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation using digital tools such as Google Sheets, Google Docs, or other maintenance management systems.
* Communicate maintenance policies, procedures, and updates to maintenance staff and contractors.
* Ensure all maintenance activities are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety standards.
* Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and outsourced service providers to ensure efficient project execution and facility upkeep.
* Monitor inventory levels of materials, tools, and spare parts and ensure timely replenishment.
* Assist in developing and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
* Support budget planning by recommending maintenance-related expenditures and improvements.
* Evaluate and recommend upgrades, repairs, overhauls, and modifications to facility systems and structures.
* Actively participate in renovation and remodeling projects, including supervision of carpentry, painting, plumbing, masonry, waterproofing, and finishing works.
* Provide hands-on support for day-to-day maintenance activities when required.
* Ensure premises comply with statutory regulations, safety standards, and building maintenance requirements.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.

**Job Requirements :**

* Education: Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
* Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in facility maintenance, civil maintenance, construction, or a similar role.
* Experience in handling building maintenance, renovation projects, and finishing works is essential.
* **Skills \& Competencies:**

* Strong knowledge of civil construction, maintenance practices, and finishing works.

* Familiarity with carpentry, painting, plumbing, masonry, waterproofing, and related civil activities.

* Excellent planning, coordination, and project management skills.

* Strong leadership and team supervision abilities.

* Attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety.

* Good documentation and record-keeping skills.

* Ability to manage vendors, contractors, and multiple maintenance projects simultaneously.

* Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and maintenance reporting tools.

* Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
