Electrical Engineer

Job Description

A multi-discipline engineering firm with over 70 years in business is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer for their Windsor, Connecticut office!

Responsibilities:

* Design electrical systems (power distribution, stand-by power generation, lighting, communication, fire alarm, security systems)
* Manage team of electrical engineers in a variety of project design and development tasks:

> * drawings
> * calculations
> * cost estimates
> * specifications
> * client communication
> * contractor submittal reviews  

* Review design documents
* Ensure department adheres to QA/QC standards
* Assist with developing QA/QC standards
* Assist with business development initiatives
* Mentor/train junior staff

Requirements:

* B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program
* 5+ years of consulting experience (designing building power, lighting, communication and security systems)
* Experience with HVAC and plumbing systems preferred
* PE License
* Extensive knowledge of the architectural/engineering industry (Federal, State, and local laws/regulations)
* Experience using Outlook and Microsoft Office (or similar software)
* LEED Accreditation
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Easy Power preferred

Salary is commensurate with experience.
