Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Engineer Intern role based in San Jose, CA. The Engineer Intern will support the design, development, and testing of AI agents and backend services, working closely with senior engineers to turn requirements into reliable, scalable components. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing and reviewing code, building prototypes, integrating APIs and data sources, and assisting with system monitoring and debugging in production-like environments. The intern will help prepare technical documentation, contribute to code reviews, and participate in sprint planning and stand-up meetings. The role offers exposure to real-world AI deployments, modern software engineering practices, and cross-functional collaboration with product and implementation teams.
Qualifications
Foundational skills in software engineering, including proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript, and familiarity with version control (e.g., Git).
Interest or coursework in AI, machine learning, or data engineering, with the ability to work with APIs, data pipelines, and cloud-based services.
Basic understanding of web technologies, backend services, or microservices architectures, and comfort working in Linux-based development environments.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills, with attention to detail and a focus on writing clean, maintainable code.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a cross-functional team and take feedback constructively.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Prior internship, project, or open-source experience related to AI, automation, or enterprise software is a plus.
