Automation Engineer

Job Description

An innovative organisation in the global logistics and e-commerce space is looking for an Automation Engineer. This role is central to maintaining high-speed operational performance by providing proactive controls automation and technical support within a large-scale distribution environment.

What You'll Be Doing

Serving as the site expert for maintaining critical automation systems and industrial networks.
Troubleshooting complex material handling control systems including PLC/PC controllers and motor control systems.
Monitoring equipment metrics and partnering with maintenance teams to address system performance issues.
Providing first-level escalation support for site technicians both locally and remotely.
Performing building system assessments to enhance material handling system performance and reliability.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or 2+ years of PLC programming experience.
Experience with industrial networks such as Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, or Profibus.
Proficiency in Ladder Logic and structured programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Codesys).
Ability to troubleshoot robotics work cells, control systems, and frequency drives.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or nights as required by operations.
