About The Opportunity

An innovative company operating in the space technology sector is seeking a Forward Deployed Product Engineer to work directly with customers running mission-critical operations. This role combines software engineering, product development, and customer engagement, offering the opportunity to influence both product direction and real-world deployment success.

You'll work closely with end users in operational environments, solve complex technical challenges, and help shape future product capabilities through direct customer feedback and field experience.

Key Responsibilities

Deploy and configure software solutions within customer environments, ensuring reliability and performance.
Troubleshoot issues across backend systems, APIs, cloud infrastructure, databases, and frontend applications.
Work directly with customer operations teams to provide technical support and build trusted relationships.
Develop prototypes and rapidly iterate solutions using customer feedback and operational data.
Gather user insights and translate them into product improvements and roadmap recommendations.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to transition successful prototypes into production-ready solutions.
Create integration playbooks, documentation, and training materials to support repeatable deployments.

Requirements

Experience

3+ years of software engineering experience, ideally within customer-facing or deployment-focused roles.
Experience building, deploying, or supporting production software in high-reliability or mission-critical environments.
Demonstrated ability to work across the software stack and solve complex technical problems.

Technical Skills

Strong programming experience with Python.
Experience with TypeScript, Java, or similar languages is advantageous.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as ChatGPT, Cursor, Amp, or similar platforms.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Knowledge of databases, containerization, and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
