Position Title: Tulip MES Engineer
Location: Clinton, IN; Fort Dodge, IA; Elwood, MO; Winslow, ME; Indianapolis, IN; Elwood, KS
Start Date: ASAP

Expected Duration: Temp to Hire - 6 months; option to convert to FTE in 2027
Potential Extension/Conversion: High potential for extension
Job Type: Full time (40 Hours per Week)
Pay Range: $45.00/hr - $50.00/hr (W2)

About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Tulip MES Engineer to join our IT Manufacturing team and help accelerate the adoption and expansion of Tulip Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions across multiple manufacturing facilities.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong Tulip MES expertise with manufacturing domain knowledge and experience working within regulated environments. You will play a key role in scaling MES capabilities, integrating shop-floor systems, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with GxP requirements.
The successful candidate will work closely with Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Process Science, and Engineering teams to deliver innovative, scalable, and compliant manufacturing solutions.

Key Responsibilities
MES Design, Configuration & Development
Design, configure, and implement Tulip MES solutions.
Build and maintain Electronic Batch Records (EBRs).
Configure workflows, applications, forms, and equipment integrations.
Develop scalable manufacturing templates that can be deployed across multiple sites.
Process Optimization
Analyze manufacturing and laboratory processes.
Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and reduce operational inefficiencies.
Improve data integrity, production performance, and audit readiness.
Help reduce manufacturing deviations and quality events through digital solutions.
Technical Support & System Administration
Provide frontline support for MES applications and integrations.
Troubleshoot system issues and perform root cause analysis.
Ensure system reliability and availability for manufacturing operations.
System Integration
Integrate Tulip with enterprise and manufacturing systems including:
SAP ERP
PLCs
SCADA systems
IoT devices
Cloud platforms
Support data flow between operational technology and enterprise systems.
Validation & Compliance
Execute and document IQ/OQ/PQ validation activities.
Maintain systems in a validated state.
Ensure compliance with GxP, CSV, and data integrity requirements.
Participate in audits and demonstrate regulatory compliance.
Collaboration & Advisory
Partner with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Process Science teams.
Gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Challenge existing processes and recommend innovative improvements.
Act as a trusted advisor for manufacturing technology initiatives.
User Enablement
Create training materials and SOP documentation.
Conduct end-user training sessions.
Drive adoption of MES solutions across manufacturing sites.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.
3+ years of hands-on experience configuring and supporting MES platforms.
Strong hands-on experience with Tulip MES.
Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of:
GxP
Computer System Validation (CSV)
Data Integrity principles
Experience writing SQL queries for troubleshooting, reporting, and data analysis.
Familiarity with:
PLCs
SCADA systems
Industrial automation technologies
Experience supporting manufacturing operations and shop-floor systems.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience integrating Tulip with SAP, AVEVA, IoT devices, or similar manufacturing technologies.
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience with DevSecOps practices.
Experience with:
CI/CD pipelines
Git source control
Agile development methodologies
Understanding of UX principles and user-centered application design.
Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, biotechnology, food manufacturing, aerospace, or other highly regulated industries.
