### Must have:

### - We require a bachelors degree in engineering plus at least 3 years of relevant experience. - We expect solid knowledge of the construction or HVAC industry. - We look for understanding of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems, and related building subsystems. - We require experience with Johnson Controls software programming. - We need demonstrated experience integrating low-voltage building subsystems using industry protocols such as LON and BACnet. - We expect the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences. - We require advanced computer skills, especially with computer-aided drafting tools. - We require the ability to travel regularly.

Responsibilities:

- We design, configure, and operate complete building control systems, including fire, security, lighting, nurse call, data networks, and other low-voltage subsystems. - We ensure designs are delivered with quality, timeliness, and efficiency for field teams. - We develop complex software programs, commission systems, and troubleshoot issues to confirm proper operation. - We prepare detailed documentation and submittals for customers, consultants, our field installation team, and subcontractors. - We create flow diagrams, sequences of operation, bills of material, network layouts, and electrical schematics. - We develop and test software needed to run systems according to project requirements. - We coordinate drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation. - We select, order, and track materials for assigned projects. - We coordinate factory-mounting activities to align with factory and project schedules. - We assist with loading and commissioning system and network-level controllers. - We validate full system functionality and resolve issues with subcontractors and other trades. - We provide field change information for as-built drawings and software updates. - We keep management, contractors, and customers informed on progress and issues. - We support site-specific training for owners and operators on the full building control system. - We participate in release meetings with the project field team. - We perform value engineering to achieve cost-effective outcomes while maintaining customer satisfaction. - We may guide Systems Design Assistants as needed. - We follow safety standards and maintain a strong focus on employee and subcontractor safety.
