Firmware Engineer

Job Description

Steinmetz is hiring a firmware engineer for a new power electronics product we are bringing to market. This role is for someone who can take ownership and execute when the problem is ambiguous, technical, and tied to real hardware. Responsibilities: Write Rust firmware for resource-constrained microcontrollers. Design and validate high-frequency power electronics control loops. Bring up software integration for hardware test suites. Build test fixtures for the manufacturing line. Must-haves: Experience in Rust programming. Understanding of firmware fundamentals. Ability to learn quickly. Resilience when hardware does not behave like the model.
