### - We require a bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or an equivalent non-U.S. qualification directly relevant to the role. - We require 9 years of related professional experience, or an equivalent mix of technical education and experience. - We require 5 years of hands-on experience in Guidance, Navigation, and Control engineering. - We require familiarity with Vehicle Management Systems (VMS) or other PID control design methods. - We require experience using Matlab/Simulink or MatrixX/Systembuild to model and simulate complex aerospace systems. - We require the ability to meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a U.S. Person. - We prefer a computer science minor. - We prefer the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance, with interim and/or final Secret clearance required after start. - We require candidates to satisfy our Conflict of Interest assessment process. - We require a bachelors degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities:

- We define Guidance, Navigation, and Control mission requirements and ensure they are high quality, traceable, and verifiable from the system level down to components. - We lead design reviews, analyses, simulations, and component or system testing to deliver solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations. - We build and refine complex, nonlinear six-degree-of-freedom simulation models using multidisciplinary data such as aerodynamics, mass properties, and propulsion. - We develop, implement, integrate, and test vehicle models, controllers, and software using languages such as C, C , FORTRAN, and Python. - We design guidance and flight control laws using modern linear control techniques and tools to achieve performance objectives. - We apply advanced nonlinear analysis to evaluate and improve control law designs. - We validate models against test data to improve simulation accuracy. - We develop supplementary controllers, limiters, mode logic, redundancy management, and signal shaping to keep performance within the full flight envelope. - We collaborate with flight simulation and Vehicle Management Systems software engineers to integrate control laws into the operational flight program. - We define, analyze, and maintain air data sensor processing, CFD-based source error correction, and redundancy management. - We lead or support DO-178B/C software verification activities. - We coordinate autonomous air vehicle contingency management strategies across multidisciplinary teams and oversee software implementation. - We support desktop, software, and real-time flight simulations. - We support hardware-in-the-loop development and testing. - We support flight test planning and execution. - We train and coach teammates.

This role supports the design, development, integration, and flight testing of our unmanned aircraft program, with opportunities to take the lead in areas such as flight path definition, mission planning, control systems, air data processing, subsystem control, and contingency management.
