### The role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will design, develop, and validate the mechanical components and assemblies that make up Vale's automated matcha hardware platform.

* Design mechanical components and assemblies for Vale's automated hardware systems
* Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD tools
* Conduct tolerance analysis, FEA, and design for manufacture (DFM) analysis
* Build and test prototypes to validate design intent and performance
* Collaborate with Electrical, Firmware, and Controls engineers during integration
* Manage design changes, BOMs, and documentation in PLM systems
* Work closely with contract manufacturers to ensure design intent is maintained in production

### Qualifications

* Legally authorized to work in the United States
* 4 years of mechanical engineering experience in product development or hardware design
* Proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent 3D CAD tool
* Experience with DFM, GD\&T, and manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, injection molding)
* Hands-on prototyping experience with 3D printing and machine shop tools
* Experience in a food-grade or medical device environment a plus

### Compensation

$95,000 -- $145,000 per year
