Job Description

Senior Electrical Engineer – Mission Critical / Hyperscale Data Centers

Pecos or Midland, Texas

Help Build the Infrastructure Powering the AI Revolution

The world is changing at an unprecedented pace. Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and digital transformation are driving demand for data center capacity unlike anything we've seen before.

Our client is a rapidly growing, founder-led engineering consultancy that specializes exclusively in mission critical infrastructure. Their team delivers some of the most technically advanced hyperscale data centers in North America, partnering with the world's leading technology companies to design facilities that simply cannot fail.

This is an opportunity to work alongside some of the industry's foremost mission critical experts, influence projects measured in hundreds of megawatts, and help shape the infrastructure powering the digital economy.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a high-performing Mission Critical team in Pecos or Midland, Texas.

You'll lead the design of complex electrical building systems for hyperscale data centers, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver resilient, scalable, and energy-efficient facilities that operate 24/7/365.

Whether supporting AI workloads, cloud infrastructure, or next-generation computing platforms, your work will sit at the heart of some of the most advanced facilities being built anywhere in the world.

What You'll Do
Lead electrical system design for hyperscale and mission critical facilities from concept through construction.
Design medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems.
Perform load calculations, short circuit studies, protective device coordination, and arc flash analyses.
Develop critical power infrastructure including UPS systems, generators, and redundancy strategies.
Coordinate closely with mechanical, structural, civil, and architectural teams.
Prepare engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and construction documents.
Support construction administration activities including RFIs, submittals, and site observations.
Interface directly with clients, contractors, and technology partners.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.

What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
PE license preferred or ability to obtain.
8+ years of experience in electrical building systems design.
Experience in mission critical, data center, industrial, healthcare, or other high-reliability facilities preferred.
Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, and applicable industry standards.
Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, or similar software.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
A passion for solving complex engineering challenges.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

Join a team that lives and breathes data centers. No jumping between project types—your focus is entirely on some of the most sophisticated facilities in the built environment.

Learn from Industry Leaders
Work directly with seasoned mission critical engineers and leadership who have spent their careers shaping the evolution of hyperscale infrastructure.

Entrepreneurial Culture
Despite delivering projects for some of the world's largest technology companies, the firm maintains the agility, accessibility, and collaborative culture of a specialist consultancy.

Unmatched Growth
The explosion of AI computing and cloud services has created one of the fastest-growing sectors in engineering. This is an opportunity to position yourself at the center of that growth for years to come.

Build What Powers the Future
Every search query, AI model, streaming platform, and cloud application depends on resilient infrastructure behind the scenes.

Those facilities don't happen by accident.

They are designed by exceptional engineers.

If you're looking for the chance to work on world-class projects, tackle complex technical challenges, and help shape the future of digital infrastructure, we'd love to hear from you.
