Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Systems Engineers are interested in developing and testing next generation of optical systems. We are seeking a Systems Engineer who also serves as an Agile Product Owner, combining strong systems engineering fundamentals with a solid background in software engineering, requirements management, and Agile team leadership. This is an onsite position in McKinney, Texas.

What You Will Do

Serve as the Agile Product Owner for a cross-functional engineering team
Translate stakeholder needs into clear user stories, features, and system-level requirements.
Lead requirements development, decomposition, traceability, and V&V planning.
Coordinate across software, systems, hardware, and test engineering teams.
Support system integration, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
Conduct technical trade studies and contribute to architecture decisions.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies and maintain the product backlog.
Present technical status and risks to leadership and customers.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience in systems and software engineering.
Agile development
Experience with system hardware/software integration
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

Active DoD Secret clearance
Prior Product Owner or Agile leadership experience
Experience with defense-related systems engineering
Experience with DOORS/DNG, Cameo, Jira, Confluence or similar tools
Proficiency with C++, Python, or similar programing languages
Experience with modeling, simulation, or performance analysis

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
