Peerless is searching for a US Citizen in the Dayton Ohio area who is a skilled Software Engineer to support development of modern software systems and services supporting defense and national security missions The selected candidate will design develop and maintain scalable software solutions in a collaborative Agile development environment while contributing to containerized and cloud enabled architectures The role requires collaboration with cross functional engineering teams to develop reliable and secure software solutions while leveraging DevOps practices container technologies and modern data architectures Requirements Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science Computer Engineering or related technical field Software DevelopmentProgramming LanguagesMin of 3 years proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python Java C JavaScript and TypeScriptFamiliarity with frameworks like Angular React or Vuejs for front end developmentExperience with backend frameworks such as Flask Django or Spring BootCloud Native DevelopmentExperience developing containerized applications using Docker and KubernetesFamiliarity with Helm charts for deploying applications in Kubernetes environmentsKnowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS Google Cloud or Microsoft AzureMicroservices ArchitectureExperience designing and developing microservices based applicationsProficiency in RESTful APIs and OpenAPI schema documentationFamiliarity with event driven architectures using tools like KafkaDevSecOps PracticesCICD PipelinesProficiency in building and maintaining CICD pipelines using GitLab Jenkins or similar toolsExperience with GitOps workflows for managing infrastructure and application changesInfrastructure as Code IaCProficiency in Terraform and Ansible for automated provisioning and configuration managementAgile DevelopmentObservability and MonitoringMonitoring ToolsExperience with Prometheus and Grafana for system and application monitoringStrong communication and organizational skills
