**Hiring Range: $27.63-$37.05**

**Starting salary may be adjusted depending on experience.**

Qualifications
- -------------

* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or will be graduating from an accredited university with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering within the next six months;
* Engineer in Training License is not required when applying but must be obtained within one year of employment;
* Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to obtain/maintain a City of Hoover Driver's.

Responsibilities

* Assist the Engineering Department with project and construction management;
* Assist Engineering Program Manager with inspections and daily reports;
* Assist Engineering Program Manager with resurfacing program;
* Assist Traffic Engineer with Traffic Signal, Street Light Maintenance and Signage as required;
* Assist Engineering Department with MS4 Program compliance;
* Assist Engineering Department with permit plan reviews, meetings and correspondence;
* Assist Engineering Department with Stormwater Management;
* Assist Engineering Department with Planning \& Zoning reviews and meetings;
* Keeps immediate supervisor and designated others fully and accurately informed concerning work progress;
* Attends meetings, conferences, workshops and training sessions and reviews publications to become and remain current on principles, practices, and new developments in assigned work areas;
* Responds to citizens' questions and comments in a courteous and timely manner;
* Communicates and coordinates regularly with the appropriate others to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of interdepartmental operations and activities;
* Performs other related duties consistently as directed.
