About the Role

Our client is a fast-growing company (75+ team members and counting) that creates training programs, ebooks, and app products for clients in the electrical and natural gas industries. Demand for their products is surging, and they're looking for a Software Engineer to join their team and help build the tools that keep their clients' workforces trained, informed, and safe.

This is an **in-office position** based in the Williamsburg, VA area. If you're looking for a fully remote role, this isn't the right fit --- but if you want to be part of a close-knit, growing team that builds real products for real industries, we'd love to talk.

What You'll Do

As a Software Engineer, you'll help build the core features and functionality behind their applications and eBooks, while also developing custom software solutions for client needs. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, reliable systems, translate requirements into technical solutions, and contribute high-quality code across multiple projects. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys building reusable frameworks, solving complex problems, and supporting digital products from concept through delivery.

Who We're Looking For

* STEM background strongly preferred (engineering, computer science, physics, or related fields)
* Comfortable working in-office and collaborating in person with your team
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* No security clearance required

Screening Requirements
- ---------------------

To be considered, candidates must:

1. Be a **U.S. Citizen**
2. Live within a **commutable distance to Williamsburg, VA** (Richmond area is workable; areas on the far side of the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel are generally not, due to commute time)

All candidates will also complete a **background check and drug screening**.

Schedule
- -------

* Standard office hours: 8:00 AM--5:00 PM
* Occasional weeks may exceed 40 hours during project deadlines
