**Warranty Engineer**
**Location: Parker, CO (On-Site)**
**Salary: $75,000**
**About the Opportunity**
Our client is a recognized leader in the diesel engine remanufacturing and repair industry, supplying premium engine components and complete repair solutions to customers across North America. They are seeking a Warranty Engineer to join their Parker, Colorado operation and serve as the technical lead for warranty claims, product failure analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong diesel engine knowledge who enjoys troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and working cross-functionally to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.
**Responsibilities**
* Manage warranty claims from initial customer contact through final resolution.
* Serve as the primary technical resource for warranty inquiries and product-related questions.
* Evaluate warranty claims and coordinate return shipments and inspections.
* Perform or coordinate root cause investigations on returned engines and components.
* Provide technical guidance to customers to assist with diagnostics and reduce non-warrantable claims.
* Maintain warranty documentation, claim records, and technical reports.
* Analyze warranty trends and identify opportunities to reduce recurring failures.
* Utilize structured problem-solving methodologies including 8D, 5-Why, and FMEA.
* Work closely with production, quality, engineering, suppliers, customer service, finance, and sales teams.
* Coordinate supplier warranty returns and recovery efforts.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
* Maintain warranty portal information and assist customers with portal usage.
**Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent hands-on technical experience.
* 3-5 years of experience in warranty, quality, failure analysis, product support, diesel engines, heavy equipment, or a related technical field.
* Strong understanding of diesel engine systems and troubleshooting.
* Experience with root cause analysis and structured problem-solving techniques.
* Familiarity with ISO 9001 manufacturing environments is preferred.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
