### - We require a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field. - We expect 1--5 years of professional experience building embedded software or firmware. - We need strong proficiency in C for embedded systems, with Python scripting also required. - We are looking for hands-on experience with bare-metal firmware development and RTOS-based applications such as FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or similar platforms. - We value familiarity with embedded system fundamentals, including interrupts, exception handling, timers, scheduling, memory management, and communication protocols. - We require experience with version control tools such as Git, GitHub, or GitLab. - We seek strong analytical thinking, debugging ability, and effective problem-solving skills. - Preferred experience includes ST microcontrollers, Linux environments, communication technologies such as CAN, Ethernet, BLE, or MQTT, automated test systems or HIL setups, and secure bootloader or firmware update practices.

Responsibilities:

- We design, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for microcontroller-based systems. - We implement software solutions using both bare-metal and RTOS-driven architectures. - We build device drivers and peripheral interfaces for SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB, ADC, PWM, and GPIO. - We contribute to firmware architecture, code reviews, and technical design discussions. - We troubleshoot software and hardware integration issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD debuggers, and related tools. - We create Python scripts and utilities for test automation, manufacturing support, data analysis, and development workflows. - We prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user documentation. - We collaborate with hardware, systems, and test engineers to support product integration and validation. - We assist with verification, validation, and troubleshooting during development and production.

We are an engineering-focused company based in Tucson, AZ, hiring a full-time Embedded Software Engineer to join our Engineering department and report into our Embedded Systems Lead / Engineering Manager. This is an in-person role with a pay range of $90,000 to $120,000 per year, salary DOE.
