Job Description

> **Position Overview:**
>
> A highly skilled UPS Field Engineer is needed to apply an in-depth knowledge of UPS start-up, testing, and operations. This role involves commissioning, maintenance, and emergency support for power electronics at customer sites.
>
>

>
> **Key Responsibilities:**
>
> •Conducts commissioning-focused design reviews, prepares test procedures and reports, and oversees on-site testing.
>
> •Performs preventive maintenance, emergency response, equipment start-up, and field modifications.
>
> •Coordinates with technical support to resolve maintenance or operational issues.
>
> •Assists in developing Methods of Procedures (MOPs).
>
> •Reports to a supervisor for any unusual issues or developments.
>
> •Trains periodically at company headquarters on testing equipment and rebuilding systems.
>
> •Completes Field Service Reports promptly and provides proactive recommendations to clients.
>
> •Candidate will be based from home.
>
>

>
> **Qualifications:**
>
> •Minimum of 3-5 years' experience. Preferred 10 years of relevant experience.
>
> •Skilled in troubleshooting equipment such as UPS, batteries, PDUs, STSs, etc.
>
> •Proficient with hand tools and test equipment for maintenance and repairs.
>
> •Strong verbal, written communication, and customer service skills.
>
> •Ability to work independently with resourcefulness and initiative.
>
> •Knowledge of equipment manufacturers' specifications.
>
> •Physically capable of bending and lifting up to 100 lbs as required.
>
> •Willingness to work nights, weekends, and be on-call when needed.
>
> •Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.
>
> •Prior experience with third-party UPS service providers is a plus.
>
> •OEM factory training or experience with brands such as Emerson/Liebert/Vertiv, APC/MGE/Schneider, or Eaton/Powerware/PDI is required.
>
> •A technical degree (e.g., DeVry, Lincoln Tech) is a plus.
>
> •Military veterans with experience in Electrical/Mechanical systems are highly valued (Navy EMN, ETN, MMNs, Army Power Generation, Air Force Power Production, Coast Guard, etc.).
>
> •Must have a clean driving record.
>
> •Primarily regional travel within Atlanta, GA; occasional national travel may be required (not including emergencies).
>
>
