Senior Software Engineer, Wallets

**Location:** New York City, NY or San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)

**Compensation:** $170K--$250K USD Base + Bonus + Equity + Benefits

As a **Senior Software Engineer** on the Wallets team, you'll help build the products, APIs, and backend services that connect developers and end users to the blockchain ecosystem. This is an opportunity to work on highly scalable distributed systems while contributing to open-source software that powers millions of transactions. You'll own projects end-to-end---from architecture and API design to deployment and long-term scalability---while helping shape the future of wallet infrastructure and developer experience.

Requirements

* 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems within collaborative engineering teams.
* Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and systems design.
* Experience developing backend services using one or more of Go, Python, Rust, Java, C++, or C#.
* Experience designing, building, and operating scalable backend services or distributed systems.
* Comfortable working across multiple programming languages and learning new technologies when needed.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional engineering teams.

Other Ideal Skills:

* Experience building blockchain, cryptocurrency, or digital asset infrastructure.
* Experience developing wallet platforms, financial systems, or developer infrastructure.
* Experience designing APIs, SDKs, developer tools, or reusable platform services.
* Experience building large-scale data processing pipelines.
* Open-source contributions or experience maintaining developer-facing libraries.
* Experience with Go and Node.js.

Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and maintain the backend services that power wallet products and developer infrastructure.
* Build scalable APIs, libraries, and platform services that simplify application development across the ecosystem.
* Own features from technical design through implementation, deployment, and long-term maintenance.
* Improve the scalability, reliability, and performance of production services supporting a rapidly growing network.
* Design reusable systems and engineering frameworks that improve developer productivity.
* Participate in technical design discussions, architecture reviews, RFCs, and code reviews.
* Collaborate closely with product, protocol, infrastructure, and open-source engineering teams.
* Contribute to open-source software that is widely adopted throughout the ecosystem.
