M\&S Engineering LLC seeks a qualified Substation Civil Engineer at our Spring Branch Texas location to perform engineering and design duties which require application of engineering principles and knowledge of substation design Duties \& Responsibilities Detail structural foundation and civil site engineering and design of substation projects from conceptual design through construction from 4kV to 345kVCreatemodify design documents and drawings for a project including specifications technical reports to support design as required by permitting agencies and generating bills of materialEffectively communicate and coordinate project activities with manager clients and others as neededPrepare scopes schedules and budgets and ensure that schedules and budgets are metTake on a project engineer andor project manager role as requiredRequirements 4 year degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering emphasis in Structures andor Site DevelopmentMasters degree for this position is HIGHLY UNDESIREDMinimum of 3 years applicable post graduation substation design experienceCurrent EIT License in the State of Texas or ability to obtain the license within 12 months of hire preferredCurrent PE License in the State of Texas or ability to obtain the license within 12 months of hire preferredStrong analytical and problem solving skillsExcellent interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communications skillsAbility to work closely with other engineering and design team members to coordinate overall design package and requirementsAbility to travelTake personal responsibility and ownership for the quality and accuracy of work productProficiency using AutoCAD or MicroStation and Microsoft Office SuiteSelf starterAble to simultaneously manage multiple projectsWork independently or in a team environmentMust be able to routinely lift up to 30lbsValid drivers license with a clean driving record requiredBenefits Salary commensurate with experienceEmployer paid healthdentalvision insuranceEmployer paid STDLTDLife InsuranceCandidate referral bonus401k retirement plan with employer matchPaid HolidaysEarned vacation time
