OT Systems Engineer - Beverage Manufacturing

Job Description

Join the OT Systems team supporting a beverage manufacturing facility in Columbia, SC. You'll help keep the plant's automation and operational technology systems running while partnering with the team on troubleshooting, system improvements, and projects.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. Some days you'll solve production issues on the plant floor; others you'll work on upgrades and projects that make the plant run better. It's a great opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys learning new technology and solving problems.

**Responsibilities**

* Support and troubleshoot OT systems, including MES, OEE, PLC, SCADA and HMI platforms.
* Provide hands-on support to the automation team and help resolve production issues, with escalation paths to senior engineers.
* Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to prevent future issues.
* Support system upgrades and plant-requested changes.
* Work across both legacy and modern manufacturing systems.
* Partner with operations and plant teams to explain technical issues in clear, easy-to-understand language.
* Balance project work with day-to-day production support.

**Required**

* 1--4 years of experience in controls, OT, automation, IT or engineering within manufacturing.
* Exposure to PLCs, SCADA, HMI or similar control systems.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Willingness to work hands-on, on the plant floor, in a production environment.
* Able to communicate technical information in simple terms.

**Nice to Have**

* Experience with MES, OEE or other manufacturing systems.
* Exposure to OT/IT infrastructure or systems integration.
