**Senior System Test Engineer**

**Location:** Pune (Hybrid -- 4 Days Work from Office, 1 Day Work from Home)

**Experience:** 6--10 Years

**Employment Type:** Full-Time

**About the Role**

We are looking for an experienced **Senior System Test Engineer** to join our automation engineering team. The role involves designing, testing, and validating industrial automation systems with a strong focus on PLC programming, motion control, robotics, and servo drive applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality automation solutions before deployment.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Design and execute system-level tests for industrial automation solutions.
* Develop, analyze, and validate PLC programs based on project requirements.
* Test motion control and robotics-related PLC function blocks before product release.
* Configure and commission PLCs, Servo Drives, VFDs, and Inverters.
* Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
* Configure PLC backplane I/O and Remote I/O over industrial fieldbus networks.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues.
* Follow defined testing processes and quality standards.

**Must-Have Skills**

* 6 years of hands-on experience in **PLC Programming** using:

* Ladder Logic

* Structured Text

* Function Blocks
* Strong experience in configuring and commissioning:

* Servo Drives

* Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)

* Inverters
* Hands-on experience in **Motion Control Programming** for servo applications.
* Experience in robotics programming involving:

* Multi-axis systems

* Drive groups
* Experience in machine automation projects and system commissioning.
* Hands-on experience with one or more industrial communication protocols such as:

* EtherNet/IP

* PROFINET

* EtherCAT

* Ethernet PowerLINK

* CAN

* PROFIBUS

* ControlNET

* DeviceNET
* Experience configuring PLC Backplane I/O,29546 and Remote I/O.
* Good communication and collaboration skills.
* Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive attitude.
* Bachelor's degree in:

* Electrical Engineering

* Electronics Engineering

* Instrumentation Engineering

* Mechatronics Engineering

* M.Sc. in Electronics/Electrical

**Nice-to-Have Skills**

* Electrical wiring design for industrial control panels.
* Experience in manual testing.
* Exposure to agile development methodologies.
* Knowledge of turnkey automation project execution.

**Preferred Candidate Profile**

* 6--10 years of relevant industrial automation experience.
* Stable career history with long-term contributions in previous organizations.
* Immediate to 30-day notice period preferred (up to 60 days may be considered).
* Candidates currently based in or willing to relocate to Pune are preferred.
* Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn new technologies.
* Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.

**Work Model**
