Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

* Develop mechanical system designs for a variety of market types of a given project based on scope of work and/or client expectations
* Provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, air handling units, ductwork, piping and controls.
* Prepare detailed design documents in REVIT
* Develop reports / studies
* Conduct existing building surveys and documentation of existing mechanical systems
* Develop system design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildings
* Write/edit project specifications
* Provide construction administration services
* Assist in the procurement of new work, including the development of client relations and participation in project interviews

**Requirements:**

* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desired
* LEED certification / experience is a plus
* Minimum 5 years design experience in the M/E/P industry (10+ years preferred)
* Knowledge in the design of mechanical systems
* Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines
* Excellent work ethic and attitude
* Good communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance and prioritize work
* Ability to lead a team as well as work as part of a team
* Proficiency in Revit, and MS Office
