**Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (C / VxWorks)**

**Location: Dahlgren, VA (Zip: 22448) \| Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Full-Time / Permanent)**

**Compensation: $150,000 -- $200,000 Base Salary (Competitive Market Range Full Corporate Benefits)**

Key Responsibilities

* Software Development: Design, write, and maintain efficient C code for safety-critical missile and weapon system applications.
* Real-Time Systems: Develop and support applications running on VxWorks real-time operating systems (RTOS).
* Integration \& Testing: Perform hardware-software integration for missile simulators and test equipment; lead verification and validation (V\&V) activities.
* Collaboration: Work within multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure compliance with stringent defense and safety requirements.
* Technical Artifacts: Maintain rigorous technical documentation and software development artifacts throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

* Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
* Technical Skills: Extensive software development experience using C and VxWorks RTOS.
* Embedded Knowledge: Understanding of real-time embedded principles, SMP (Symmetric Multi-Processing), and multi-core architectures.
* Security Clearance: Active DoD Secret Security Clearance is mandatory.
* Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is strictly required.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) or Anti-Air Warfare (AAW) systems.
* Familiarity with missile flight test programs, telemetry formats, and weapon system test equipment.

Previous experience in Defense, Aerospace, or Naval systems programs.
