**Software Engineer** (AI-First)

**Location:** Chandler, AZ (Hybrid)

**Employment Type:** 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

**Compensation:** $60-70/hour during contract \| $130,000 - $140,000 upon conversion

**Position Summary**

Our client is looking for an AI-first Software Engineer who enjoys building modern business applications and solving complex operational problems through software.

This is an opportunity to join a team building an enterprise workflow platform that connects information across systems like SAP, Salesforce, SharePoint, Snowflake, and other business applications. Rather than maintaining existing software, you'll build new features that automate manual processes, improve visibility, and help business teams work more efficiently.

While the application is being developed on the Palantir Foundry platform, prior Palantir experience is **not required.** The team is looking for an experienced engineer with strong Python, React, and API development skills who is excited to learn a new platform.

The ideal candidate embraces AI as a productivity tool while maintaining strong software engineering fundamentals. You're someone who leverages AI to move faster, but you know how to design, write, debug, and own your own code.

**What You'll Do**

* Develop modern web applications using Python and React
* Design and build REST APIs that integrate enterprise business systems
* Build workflow automation features that replace manual business processes
* Create user-friendly interfaces that surface information from multiple platforms
* Collaborate with business analysts and end users to refine application features
* Participate in iterative development, delivering enhancements one feature at a time
* Debug, troubleshoot, and improve application performance
* Learn the Palantir Foundry platform and develop applications within its ecosystem
* Help shape secure, scalable applications with appropriate permissions and user access controls

**What We're Looking For**

* 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
* Strong experience with: Python, React, REST APIs
* Experience integrating applications across multiple enterprise systems
* Strong understanding of software design principles and debugging techniques
* Comfortable working directly with business stakeholders to understand problems and build solutions
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
* Curious, adaptable, and excited to learn new technologies

**Nice to Have**

* Experience with TypeScript
* Experience integrating systems such as Salesforce, SAP, Snowflake, or SharePoint
* Experience building workflow or operational business applications
* Experience with modern AI development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, etc.)
* Exposure to Palantir Foundry or other enterprise data platforms
