Software Engineer, Databricks Platform

### Must have:

### - Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus at least 2 years of hands-on experience - Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability - Hands-on experience developing applications in Python and/or Java, including automated unit testing - Experience working with AWS services and provisioning infrastructure through automated tooling - Experience using GitHub or Bitbucket for version control, Jenkins for builds, and pypi or Maven artifactory integrations - Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database query languages - Knowledge of distributed big data frameworks such as Spark and Terraform

Responsibilities:

- Deliver software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting, while approaching problems with creative and non-routine thinking - Solve complex cloud data platform challenges by building innovative solutions around data lake tools - Identify underlying data issues and patterns proactively to improve code quality and system architecture - Design, implement, and maintain a managed AWS Databricks platform, while providing engineering and operational support to SRE and application teams - Handle platform design, setup, configuration, workspace administration, and resource monitoring - Support data engineering, data science/ML, and application/integration teams - Contribute to a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
