Software Test Engineer

Job Description

**Position Summary**

We are looking for a **Software Test Engineer** with approximately 5 years of experience to validate software through manual, automated, end-to-end, and integration testing. The ideal candidate enjoys identifying potential issues before release and has experience working in Linux environments, test automation, and manufacturing-related software.

**Responsibilities**

* Execute manual, automated, end-to-end, and integration testing.

* Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python.

* Validate software in Linux and Windows environments (Linux preferred).

* Identify defects and usability issues from a manufacturing/operator perspective.

* Test software integrated with manufacturing instruments, including optical testing systems.

* Work with MongoDB, MySQL, and Microsoft Access.

* Support deployment processes and platform standardization.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable software performance.

* 7+ years of software testing or QA experience.

* Experience with Python automation.

* Strong knowledge of Linux (Windows experience is an asset).

* Experience with MongoDB, MySQL, and Microsoft Access.

* Knowledge of software validation, integration testing, and deployment processes.

* Manufacturing or industrial software experience is an asset.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for identifying system weaknesses.
