**Job Description:**
The Associate, Manufacturing Engineer provides night shift support for rocket motor mixing and casting, implementing process improvements to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery. The role involves solving complex, multi-disciplinary technical challenges through creative analysis and prior experience with minimal oversight. Additionally, the engineer must support all onsite propellant and warhead compositions while working toward specific performance goals.
**Essential Functions:**
* Senior professional with strong knowledge of job area and broad knowledge of project management.
* Manages complex projects or processes with general oversight. Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures.
* Makes moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes. Contributes to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results.
* Works to achieve operational targets with direct impact on the departmental results.
* Investigates and determines root causes of problems, develops and implements corrective and preventive actions.
* Contributes to the development of goals for the department and planning efforts (budgets, operational plans, etc.).Recommend 8-10 bullet points maximum
* Minimal travel required.
* Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.
* Ability to work 2nd shift.
**Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
**Preferred Additional Skills:**
* Computer skills sufficient to generate reports and analyze data using MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Minitab.
* Lean Six Sigma certification.
* Statistical Analysis experience.
* Understands rocket propulsion component(s) and theory of operation.
* Experience working with Energetics and DOD contracts.
