Senior Software Engineer -- MDM SaaS Platform (Java)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java, SaaS applications, and Master Data Management (MDM) solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and supporting scalable MDM SaaS platforms while working across architecture, development, testing, and deployment activities.

The role requires hands-on experience with Informatica MDM, SaaS integrations, Java development, data modeling, APIs, and enterprise application design.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications and SaaS-based MDM solutions.

* Work across the complete software development lifecycle, including architecture design, development, testing, deployment, and support.

* Understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.

* Design application architecture, components, interfaces, and integration strategies.

* Develop backend applications, REST APIs, and microservices using Java and related technologies.

* Build and maintain integrations between MDM platforms and enterprise applications.

* Design efficient data models, integration patterns, and solutions for optimized performance and scalability.

* Implement data quality, governance, workflow, and master data management processes.

* Develop and configure MDM solutions including business entities, relationships, field groups, and data models.

* Configure and optimize match, merge, survivorship, and trust rules to create reliable golden records.

* Develop data pipelines and integration solutions using Informatica platforms.

* Implement data profiling, cleansing, validation, and quality improvement processes.

* Analyze and map legacy MDM data models into modern SaaS MDM platforms.

* Design and consume REST APIs for data synchronization and system integrations.

* Apply software engineering best practices including Agile development, CI/CD, automated testing, and secure coding practices.

* Collaborate with architects, product teams, designers, and business stakeholders.

* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical improvements.

Must-Have Skills

* 6 years of overall IT experience with at least 4 years of hands-on software development experience.

* Strong proficiency in Java development.

* Hands-on experience with Informatica MDM solutions.

* Experience in Master Data Management (MDM) implementation, customization, and support.

* Strong understanding of SaaS application architecture and development.

* Experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications.

* Strong knowledge of REST API development and integration.

* Experience with database design, SQL, and performance optimization.

* Good understanding of software design patterns and architecture principles.

* Experience with Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle.

* Knowledge of secure coding practices, data protection, and encryption concepts.

* Ability to analyze complex technical problems and deliver effective solutions.

Nice-to-Have Skills

* Advanced experience with Informatica platforms such as:

* Informatica Cloud Data Integration (CDI)

* Cloud Application Integration (CAI)

* Cloud Data Quality (CDQ)

* CLAIRE AI capabilities

* Experience with IBM MDM or similar legacy MDM platforms.

* Knowledge of microservices architecture and container technologies.

* Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

* Experience with ETL/data integration processes.

* Knowledge of workflow automation and data governance frameworks.

* Experience optimizing SaaS solutions for performance and cost efficiency.

* Familiarity with data profiling and quality management tools.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.

* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable solutions.

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements.
