**What You'll Do**

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will provide technical leadership on multidisciplinary engineering projects while serving as the primary mechanical engineering resource for refinery and industrial clients.

### Primary Responsibilities

* Lead mechanical engineering activities on refinery and industrial projects
* Design and review process piping systems (ASME B31.1 \& B31.3)
* Prepare engineering calculations and code compliance documentation
* Develop equipment specifications and data sheets
* Review pressure vessels, tanks, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and rotating equipment
* Lead mechanical design reviews and quality assurance activities
* Coordinate with piping, structural, electrical, civil, and process engineering teams
* Support procurement by preparing bid packages and evaluating vendor proposals
* Participate in field walkdowns, construction support, and startup activities
* Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership
* Interface directly with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders

**Required Qualifications**
* 10 years of mechanical engineering experience
* Refinery, petrochemical, oil \& gas, chemical processing, or heavy industrial experience
* Experience leading engineering deliverables on capital projects
* Strong understanding of mechanical equipment and process piping systems

**Preferred Qualifications**
* Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
* EIT certification
* Previous refinery project experience
* Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
* Excellent client communication skills

**Work Arrangements**

### Washington Candidates

* Hybrid schedule
* 3 days/week in the Ferndale office
* 2 days remote

### Utah Candidates

* Primarily remote
* Salt Lake City area preferred
