Transportation Engineer

Job Description

Leading U.S. engineering consulting firm is seeking a Transportation Engineer for their Chicago office!

Responsibilities:

* Involvement in design process/project advancement (setting priorities/developing objectives)
* Use technical expertise to aid multi-discipline team
* Prepare highway/roadway and sewer plans, specifications, and estimates
* Responsible for project permitting
* Prepare project reports
* Mentor/train junior engineers

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
* 5+years of practical design experience (transportation engineering, highway design, and local street design)
* IL PE License
* Knowledge of IDOT, CDOT, municipal and IL Tollway design/standards
* Good communication skills  
* Proficient in MicroStation/OpenRoads required.  
* Working knowledge of modeling with OpenRoads preferred
* Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D software preferred

Salary is commensurate with experience.
