Transmission Line Engineer

Job Description

Growing full service firm looking to add a talented Transmission Line QA/QC Engineer to their Columbus office!

Responsibilities:  

* Oversee design reviews/validation procedures
* Ensure accuracy and safety of the design of high voltage transmission lines using PLS-CADD
* Establish quality standards aligned with industry best practices
* Develop/implement quality control procedures
* Mentor/train junior staff with varying levels of experience
* Champion QA/QC processes to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality engineering outputs
* Communicate with project managers to align quality goals with schedule/budget

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering or engineering technology
* 5+ years of transmission engineering experience
* Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
* Proficient in PLS CADD
* Expert in the analysis of transmission structures
* Ability to comprehend and interpret safety codes, utility standards and regulations
* Ability to optimize complex systems and workflows
* Ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences and drive cross-functional collaboration
* Valid Driver's License is required

Salary is commensurate with experience.
