### Must have:

### - We require a bachelors degree or equivalent. - We require U.S. Person status for export control compliance, as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15. - We require at least 9 years of experience in software engineering. - We require at least 5 years of experience with software development lifecycles, configuration management, and agile software engineering practices. - We require at least 5 years of experience applying or working within RTCA DO-178 guidelines for airborne software certification. - For Senior, Lead, or Expert level consideration, we prefer a Bachelor of Science in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science, along with the corresponding years of related experience for the level. - We prefer at least 5 years of experience leading software development projects. - We prefer recent experience in DoD or NASA software certification roles, or as an FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) or Technical Standard Order (TSO) Certification Specialist in software or AEH. - We prefer at least 6 years of experience developing, documenting, and maintaining software architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs. - We prefer experience with concurrent software and distributed systems. - We prefer experience using version control tools such as Git. - We prefer experience with agile planning tools such as JIRA.

Responsibilities:

- We foster a safety-first culture across the engineering organization to protect flight and maintenance crews as well as passengers. - We work closely with certification authorities, including the FAA, DoD, and NASA, to guide aircraft through the certification process and meet strict regulatory expectations. - We develop and apply engineering approaches that emphasize safety, reliability, and high-quality aircraft delivery. - We oversee the preparation and submission of detailed technical certification documentation for regulatory review. - We mentor and develop engineering staff, strengthening their understanding of safety protocols, certification artifacts, and certification processes. - We analyze and resolve complex engineering issues using data-driven judgment and industry best practices. - We monitor project progress and performance to ensure solutions are delivered on schedule and meet certification milestones.
