**Injection Molding Process Engineer**
If you're the engineer everyone calls when an injection molding process won't stabilize, a new mold won't qualify, or scrap starts climbing, this is the kind of role built for you.
A growing plastics manufacturer is adding multiple Molding Process Engineers to help improve manufacturing performance, support new tooling launches, and build robust, repeatable molding processes.
**WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS**
Continued growth and new manufacturing programs have created the need for experienced process engineers who can own scientific molding, process development, and continuous improvement from qualification through production.
**WHAT YOU'LL OWN**
• Develop, validate, and optimize injection molding processes using scientific molding principles.
• Lead mold qualifications and production start-ups.
• Establish stable, repeatable process windows.
• Analyze process performance and implement data-driven improvements.
• Reduce scrap and improve process capability.
• Troubleshoot tooling, materials, and molding issues.
• Mentor Process Technicians and support production teams.
• Partner with Quality, Tooling, and Manufacturing on continuous improvement initiatives.
**WHAT STRONG LOOKS LIKE**
• 3 years of hands-on injection molding process engineering.
• Strong scientific molding experience.
• Process validation and mold qualification expertise.
• Experience using DOE, SPC, and structured problem solving.
• Knowledge of hot runner and valve gate systems.
• Ability to interpret Moldflow results or similar process simulation tools.
• Engineering degree or equivalent injection molding experience.
**WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU**
* Target compensation: $80,000-$110,000 depending on experience.
* Competitive benefits package.
* Highly technical engineering role with significant process ownership.
* Opportunity to influence new tooling, manufacturing performance, and continuous improvement.
* Career growth opportunities with multiple facilities and a need for skilled process leaders
**WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT**
* Not a maintenance technician position.
* Not a quality engineering role.
* Not focused solely on production support.
* Not an office-only engineering job.
If you enjoy solving difficult molding problems, developing robust manufacturing processes, and making measurable improvements on the production floor, we'd welcome a confidential conversation.
