### - We are looking for a candidate with a bachelors, masters, or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, AI/ML, or a closely related discipline, along with demonstrated autonomy experience through projects, research, professional roles, or internships. - We value strong practical experience more than degree level. - You should have a solid foundation in perception and state estimation, including sensor fusion, filtering, SLAM or LiDAR-inertial odometry, and multi-object tracking. - You need hands-on experience with deep-learning-based perception and frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. - You should be highly proficient in C++ and Python, especially for performance-sensitive, real-time development. - Experience with ROS2 or similar robotics middleware is strongly preferred. - Familiarity with GPU and embedded optimization tools such as NVIDIA Jetson, CUDA, or TensorRT is a plus. - We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment and approaches problems analytically from first principles. - You should be motivated to move algorithms from prototype stage to deployment on real hardware.

Responsibilities:

- We need you to build perception software for detection, classification, tracking, and semantic understanding using camera and LiDAR data, optimized for low-speed operation around pedestrians and vehicles. - You will develop and refine state estimation and localization through multi-sensor fusion using LiDAR, IMU, and wheel odometry to deliver reliable pose estimates, drift detection, and confidence reporting. - You will create close-range perception capabilities that support precision docking and automated charging by estimating the pose of the target vehicle and its charge port accurately enough to guide a robotic arm. - You will improve robustness in challenging real-world conditions such as glare, low light, partial occlusion, and feature-sparse or repetitive parking structures. - You will define, monitor, and improve quality metrics for detection and pose accuracy using ground-truth data on real hardware. - We expect you to collaborate with robotics, controls, embedded software, and hardware teams to integrate new capabilities into the autonomous stack while respecting the separation between the intelligence layer and the independent safety layer. - You will validate solutions in simulation and through on-site testing on physical hardware, then analyze results and iterate. - You will write and maintain production-quality code in Python and/or C++ within a ROS2-based system. - You may also contribute to robotic arm motion planning, control for automated plug insertion, real-time perception tuning on embedded GPU hardware, and motion planning and navigation that consume your perception and pose outputs directly.
