### Description
The Civil Engineer II, P.E. is responsible for performing and supporting the design, analysis, and delivery of civil and infrastructure projects for public-sector clients. This role is suited for a licensed professional engineer who is ready to take increased ownership of project tasks, collaborate closely with project managers and senior engineers, and contribute to high-quality, on-time project delivery.
### What You'll Do:
* Prepare engineering designs, calculations, plans, and specifications for civil and transportation infrastructure projects.
* Support roadway, drainage, site civil, and utility-related design efforts under the guidance of senior engineers and project managers.
* Coordinate with internal disciplines, subconsultants, and external stakeholders to support project delivery.
* Apply applicable state, federal, and local standards and design criteria to engineering work.
* Assist with plan production, technical reports, cost estimates, and permit documentation.
* Respond to review comments and support quality control and quality assurance processes.
* Provide limited construction-phase support, including responding to RFIs and reviewing shop drawings as needed.
* Participate in mentoring, training, and professional development opportunities.
### What You'll Need:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* Professional Engineer (P.E.) license strongly preferred.
* Approximately 3--7 years of progressive civil or transportation engineering experience.
* Working knowledge of roadway, drainage, and site civil design principles.
* Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software.
* Familiarity with public-sector project delivery and agency standards is preferred.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively within a team environment.
