Join our dynamic team at Otak and be part of shaping the future of transportation in Colorado As a Transportation Project EngineerProject Manager you can apply your design skills to various projects including municipal roadways recreational trails unique bikepedestrian underpasses vehicular and pedestrian bridges feasibility studies and utility projects With a significant focus on active transportation initiatives this role allows you to make a meaningful impact on the design and development of multimodal and active transportation infrastructure in Colorado Take the next step in your career and contribute to our exciting projects that extend beyond Front Range Communities to destination locales in the Mountain West and collaborations with the National Park Service Apply now to be a key player in our teams commitment to providing sustainable infrastructure that benefits the communities we work live and play in This position may be based out of our Louisville or Denver office How Youll Contribute Manage tasks and teams associated with transportation projectsPerform design services related to roadway and site layout grading drainage utilities and erosion control in conformance with local state and federal regulationsPrepare construction plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D andor Microstation OpenRoadsPrepare specifications and cost estimatesPlan and coordinate projects with limited supervisionAssist in assigning duties and schedules to team membersParticipate in preparing proposals and project scope schedule and budgetParticipate in Business Development based on strong client relationshipsProvide construction support servicesThe Strengths You Bring Bachelors degree in civil engineering BSCE from an accredited four year college or university or equivalent education is requiredMinimum of 5 to 8 years of experience as a Civil Engineer emphasizing transportation public infrastructure multimodal design drainage utilities site development and civic projects for municipal and private clientsSome project management experience is preferred or experience managing budgets schedules and assigning tasks or collaborating with other team membersExperience with technical writing and reviewing reportsProfessional Engineer PE license in the State of Colorado or the ability to obtain licensure within six months of hireDemonstrated experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D andor Microstation OpenRoadsKnowledge of local and state regulations and codes including AASHTO CDOT NACTO and MUTCD design guidelinesAbility to work collaboratively within a creative professional team environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsSome experience with business development and client relationships is preferredPlease note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only Salaries are based upon candidate experience qualifications and work location as well as market and business considerations Salary Range 100000 150000 per year Benefits At our core we believe that supporting our communities begins with supporting our employees No matter what stage youre at in your career we have a comprehensive total rewards program to enhance your quality of life help support your family and assist you in achieving your personal and professional goals Otak employees enjoy competitive salaries;
